As Choo-Choo Animation Studio continues to grow, so does the way we tell stories. Today, we’re excited to introduce Choo-Choo Animation Studio Features — a new creative division dedicated to original, long-form storytelling designed for older audiences.

Features is a novel-first storytelling space, where stories are developed primarily as books, allowing worlds, characters, and themes to unfold naturally over time. Visual storytelling and cinematic teasers are used selectively to introduce atmosphere, tone, and emotion — not to rush production.

This division allows us to explore deeper narratives while staying true to our studio’s heart, imagination, and purpose.

✨ Why Features?

Over time, our creative work naturally expanded beyond early-learning content into richer, more layered story worlds. Rather than blending these projects into our children’s programming, we created Features as a dedicated space where longer-form stories can live thoughtfully and intentionally.

While Choo-Choo Animation Studio remains fully focused on family-friendly and children’s content, Features allows our storytelling to grow alongside our audience — offering mature themes, emotional depth, and cinematic world-building without pressure or rushed timelines.

Some stories deserve time to breathe.

How Features Projects Are Developed

Projects under Choo-Choo Animation Studio Features are developed with a long-term, book-first approach. Stories may span multiple novels before any full animated adaptations are considered.

When animation is created, it is used carefully — as cinematic teasers, atmospheric shorts, or visual storytelling moments that support the novels rather than replace them. Full animated adaptations are treated as long-term creative goals, developed slowly and intentionally.

This approach allows us to protect story quality, continuity, and creative integrity.

Our First Features Project: Moonshire Book One

Moonshire is the first original story world developed under Choo-Choo Animation Studio Features.

Moonshire is a gothic, supernatural Young Adult novel series set in a quiet town where darkness hides behind routine, reputation, and polite smiles. The story is currently being released as a book series, with cinematic teasers created to introduce the mood, atmosphere, and emotional tone of the world.

Moonshire is not a fast-release animated series — it is a long-form narrative project designed to unfold over time, one chapter and one book at a time.

The Moonshire short currently available is a cinematic book teaser, created to visually introduce the story’s tone and atmosphere. It is not a full episode or animated adaptation, but a visual companion to the novel — similar to a traditional book trailer.

Future visual projects will continue to support the novels while preserving the story-first approach.
